Guest Wi-Fi Terms, Usage and Privacy Policy

Your Use of the Wi-Fi

When accessing and using the Wi-Fi, we ask that you act lawfully, responsibly and reasonably as explained below. Your access to the guest Wi-Fi at Harris + Hoole is subject to this acceptable use policy:

Act lawfully - when using the Wi-Fi don't act in any way that could be unlawful or encourage other people to act unlawfully. This includes criminal and civil laws so, for example, you mustn't infringe intellectual property rights, reveal confidential or sensitive information or do anything which might be a criminal offence.

Act responsibly - for example, actions that are harassing, defamatory, threatening, obscene, abusive, racist, sexist or offensive would be irresponsible and must not be undertaken. In addition, you mustn't collect email addresses or other personal details of users or use the service to send spam.

Act reasonably - do not use your access in any way that may interfere with the running of the Harris + Hoole network or any technology connected to it and be considerate to other users. In particular, don't upload/download very large files and make sure your device is protected by up to date anti-virus software to protect yourself and other users.

Accessing the Internet using the Wi-Fi

You acknowledge that the guest Wi-Fi is provided as is as a convenience to you on a temporary basis. Unfortunately, for technical, legal or operational reasons, it may not be available all of the time. We may need to suspend your access at any time and therefore may do so in our sole discretion.

From time to time, we may restrict access to certain sites and/or impose content filters on certain sites which may otherwise be accessible via the Wi-Fi.

You acknowledge that the guest Wi-Fi is not secure and that you use the service entirely at your own risk.

Other than as expressly set out these terms, we do not make any specific promises about the Wi-Fi. For example, we do not make any commitments about the specific functions of the Wi-Fi or its reliability, availability or ability to meet your needs. We provide the Wi-Fi "as is". However, we do not exclude or limit any warranties that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including any rights you have as a consumer.

Please take note of these rules as you are responsible for all damage, losses, costs or expenses suffered by us arising out of any breach by you of these rules.

Your Data

When you use the Wi-Fi, we (and other companies operating on our behalf) may collect and compile anonymous information from your use of the Wi-Fi into an aggregated form and then use it in order to manage and improve the service and the operation of Harris + Hoole and that of its partners and suppliers generally, and, where appropriate, comply with relevant laws and regulations. You will not be required to submit any personal information in order to access the Wi-Fi.
